Overview: For thousands of years, caravans followed an arduous route through the mountains of southwest China in the name of uk sunglasses sale trade. This route, known as the 'Ancient Tea-horse Trail'. This ancient trail is also known as the Southern Silk Road, and Puer, located in Simao in Yunnan Province, was the start of it all.

Puer's location as a natural trade bridge connecting Yunnan to Southeast Asia long made it a distribution hub for the exchange of cheap uk glasses tea and culture. The path from Puer leads north to the capital city of Kunming, west to Tibet, India and Nepal, and south to Myanmar, Viet Nam, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Kunming-Puer

Take a flight from Kunming to Puer (Simao) in evening.

Day 2: Puer-Yingpanshan

Pay a visit to Yingpanshan, Output of Puer tea is brisk at the Yingpanshan Organic Tea Garden, part of privately owned Yunnan Longsheng Green Industry. Visit Tea Science Institute that specializes in study on tea, see the various species in the nursery of institute and learn some knowledge about tea.

Day 3: Puer-Ganlanba

Drive to Ganlanba, a major residential area of Dai People, see a lively daily market where local people sell or buy food and other native products. Be a guest at a Dai House, enjoy the water splashing game and the Dai people's dancing show.

Day 4: Ganlanba-Yiwu

Drive to Yiwu (200km), a small town once boomed due to tea trade in the history, see the old part of town and the stele erected in Qing Dynasty that recorded the trade situation at that time, pay visit to local families that are still producing Pu'er Tea the traditional way. And also visit the former heritage site of Pu'Er village; learn more about the history of the Ancient Tea and Horse Caravan Trail.

Day 5: Yiwu-Mengla-Menglun

After breakfast, drive to Mengla, Visit the Air Corridor which was invested by UN for survey the wild animals living in the rain forest. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong River, and back Tropical Botanical Garden in evening.

Day 6: Menglun-Jinghong

Enjoy morning freshness in the botanical garden, have a relaxing walk in rainforest zone for a short experience. Menglun botanical garden, the biggest tropical botanical garden of China. And also enjoy the nice view and quietness in garden. Back to Jinhong in the afternoon.

Day 7: Jinghong-Menghai

Drive from Jinghong to Menghai (50km), pay visit to Menghai Tea Factory. The factory is well known for its old raw pu-erh cakes and is highly reputed in the tea industry of China. Further transfer into mountainous area to Nannuo, to see the process of Pu¡¯er Tea making by Aini People, and have short hiking to worship the King of Wild Tea Tree aged over 800 years. Long drive back to Jinghong and then fly back to Kunming.

Day 8: Kunming-Home

Transfer to the airport, see you off.
